Multi Pitch Climbing

This is where the real adventure begins. This course will introduce you to some of the best multi pitch climbing the uk has to offer whilst giving you the necessary skills needed to climb safely in the mountains. It can appear daunting at first so choosing to seek professional help is always a good option. Our aim is to assist your progression to safe, independent multi pitch climbing. A one to two instructor student ratio will allow us to tailor the course to your specific needs. We can then match your aspirations and skill level in order to develop your confidence safely.

These courses are usually delivered in North Wales or the Lake District.

The course will cover:

• Multi pitch lead climbing

• Stance management

• Gear placement

• Anchor selection

• Multi pitch rescues and emergency procedures

• Guidebooks and grades

• Equipment checks, fall factors and avoiding personal injury

At the end of the two days you will have successfully completed a number of routes and should feel very confident in your own ability to venture out yourselves. The cost is £240 per day (£120 per person for 2 people) or £220 per day for 1 person. We would provide all the ropes and climbing equipment (cams, nuts wires hexs slings etc). You would just need to provide your personal equipment, shoes, harness, chalkbag etc though we have a small supply of these items as well. 

A BMC booklet can be downloaded here and contains a wealth of information all highly useful to yourself. Reading it before the course may allow a more speedy progression and more time leading.
